Błażewicz, Andrzej

Born in 1996. Theatre director, playwright. He also publishes poetry and prose. Student of the last year of Theatre Directing at the National Academy of Theatre Arts in Cracow. Winner of the 30th edition of the National Contest for the Best Theatrical Play for Children and Youth organized by the Centre of Children Art in Poznań. Finalist of the Gdynia Drama Award 2019 and of the 10th and 11theditions of the “Metaphors of Reality” Contest. Winner of Anna and Piotr Dobrowolski’s “Sielasian Shakespeare” Contest. Finalist of the 10th and 11theditions of “Połów”, a national contest for debuting poets, organized by Biuro Literackie – a prestigious Polish publishing house. He was awarded in the Ziemowit Skibiński contest, organized by the House of Literature in Łódź. Błażewicz was also granted a scholarship of Rotary Club and a scholarship of the city of Świdnica. He is a theatre instructor working with teenagers and adults within the “Theatre Alchemy” programme. Błażewicz participates in many international projects for directors and authors. He debuted as a director in March 2018, staging “A Jew” by Artur Pałyga in the Bagatela Theatre in Cracow.
